John Bigelow, a 27 year old merchant from Chicago joined the 134th Regiment on 31 May, 1864. He was mustered out on 25 October, 1864 after serving for 100 days. The 134th Regt. was used for Guard and Garrison duty at Columbus, Kentucky.
