Benjamin Pott served in the Emergency Troop of Co. 'F' , 17th Regt. Pennsylvania Militia Infantry from 12 September to 26 September, 1862 and Co. 'A' 27th Regt. Pennsylvania Militia Infantry from 19 June to 31 July, 1863. He was called up when General Lee invaded Maryland in 1862 and for the Gettysburg Campaign in 1863. He saw no action and became a farmer in Hanover, PA. after the war. Pott died on 21 March 1914, aged 78.
