39cm x 60.5cm
OTHER NOTES
Carbine is considered to be one of the greatest ever Melbourne Cup winners. His win in 1890 was exceptional, setting a record time despite carrying a record weight of 10 stone 5 lb (66kg). The time is all the more remarkable considering the poor condition of the track and that jockeys during this time still adopted an upright riding stance.
