OTHER NOTES
Bernborough was born in Toowoomba and his early racing career was in Queensland. He later moved south and achieved a run of 15 consecutive wins. In 1946, as a six year old he won the Doomben 10000 and the Doomben Cup carrying huge weights of 65.5kg and 68.5kg respectively. From a total of 40 starts, Bernborough had 26 wins and two 2nds. He was one of five inaugural inductees to the Racing Hall of Fame.
