AN EARLY 20th CENTURY ENGRAVED BOAB NUT, NORTH of BROOME, W.A.
traditional naturalistic motifs engraved ,most likely with a metal instrument, and infilled with red ochre: the motifs include wo crocodiles incised with broad black and red chevron designs and two tinted with ochre and crayon, a snake infilled parallel bands, a Kangaroo, and Owl-like bird. Rich, deep patina.
