depicting flowers, grass and insects, bound in a finely brocaded leporello album
These pages are a fine illustration of some of Qi Baishi's consummate work in his art career. The elaborate-style insects and grasses imbued with vigor and interest are rendered with fresh and elegant colours, neat and exquisite brush strokes, and extremely innocent and vivid manners. This work has been published and is regarded as one of Qi's representative works

Reference: Qi Baishi's "Kexi Wusheng", 1942 is in the Collection at the Long Museum, Shanghai.
