A CHINESE IMPERIAL YELLOW DRAGON ROBE FRAGMENT, MID 19TH CENTURY
The deep saffron ground decorated with three Imperial five-clawed golden dragons, amongst a field of scrolling clouds, the auspicious twelve symbols, including the 'fu' symbol, the power to judge, and the axe, to punish, as well as peonies, blossoms and anemones, and other auspicious emblems, framed, 112cm high (additional appliqués fragile, loss of thread)

This fragment with twelve symbols has lots of additional appliques from other robes.

The robe was once from an imperial dragon robe mid 19th century.

The condition is very fragile. It is framed.
