Lars Gunnar Nordstrom was a leading exponent of Finnish Modernism and a pioneer of Concretism. His geometric compositions are constructed from mathematical ideals, providing the viewer with a dynamic sensory experience. Lars, also known affectionately as 'Nubben', used his background in interior architecture to develop his mathematical compositions while simultaneously taking emotive inspiration from the jazz music he was so passionate about.
