Ink and colour on paper, depicting the ever youthful and ethereal immortal 'Ma Gu' creating an orchard on the waters, dressed in flowing celestial robes, illustrated with feminine 'sloping shoulders', delicate hands and serene face, enjoying the languid movement of the river in a boat made from roots, and laden with lavish abundance, an inscription to the left section of the painting, the scroll measures 87.5cm wide, 2.24m long

Catalogue Note: According to legend, the very beautiful Ma Gu lived in the 2nd Century AD
