The proposed edition of the first state of The Giant Cable was 50, but only 30 impressions were eventually pulled. The blue sky was annulled from the final print and the second state was published under the title The New Cable in an edition of 60.

Other examples of this work are in the collections of the Modern Museum of Art, New York and the Art Gallery of New South Wales, Australia.
