Lot 65
Pardalotus Melanocephalus (Black-headed Pardalote)
lithograph
*On View in Sydney
48 x 34cm
Estimate $200 - $400
This work has very visible spotting throughout. There is a vertical crease / mark to the paper which runs down the right edge. There is also a small tear in the paper middle right edge, in the middle of what appears to be an old mounting tape mark. The paper is also waved thoughout, consistent with damp conditions.
The frame is in good condition with minor marks consistent with age and use. The backing board shows sign of damp and there is vivible spotting on the mount and inside of the glass. It would benefit from a clean and re-mounting.
The text page has been cut down and stuck to the backing board.
Please note that this work was not removed from the frame in order to conduct this condition report.
