Beautifully carved in high relief with deep undercutting to the base and sides, depicting magnolia blossoms in various stages of growth from bud to open flower (minor chips to the rim and small age cracks), 7 x 9.5cm diameter

Carved decoration in good order and complete; vertical split to the end of one carved branch appox 5mm long
Old, widening split near the centre of the growth ring in the wood in the interior of the body
Loss to rim approx 5mm long and isolated minor losses
