Lot 682

A JAPANESE CLOISONNE VASE, MEIJI PERIOD (1868-1912)
Of slender hexagonal form, decorated with flowers in silver wire against a midnight blue ground, 15cm high

Estimate $300 - $500

Sold for $260

This item is in good condition.

There is a minor damage to one of the flowers, confined to a single petal. There is minor pitting of the enamelled, as to be expected from age of the vase. The metal rim is a little loose and there are very minor chips to the rim. However, they are fairly hidden by the metal rim.
