Lot 157
Circumcision Ceremony
natural earth pigments on eucalyptus bark
103 x 40cm
Estimate $200 - $400
The bark has quite a number of splits throughout and some of these have received conservation treatment that looks to have been done many decades ago.
In the lower left corner, outside of the imagery, the top layer of bark and its painted surface have worn away .
Paint losses have occured throughout but the integrity of the imagery is intact.
