The beautiful yellow rosewood cabinet, of classical form, the lid lifting to reveal an inner tray and to release the two front rectangular doors, which in turn reveal the inner five drawers, all brass-mounted original fittings, with rectangular handles at the sides, and two 'hu' vase-form handles at the front, resting on a shallow base with a gentle cut-out scroll at the front, 33 width x 23 depth x 32cm height

These classical small cabinets perfectly reflect the Chinese tradition of fine cabinet making. Often referred to as a Seal Chest, or Guanpixiang, they seem to have had various uses.
