Oak ebonised, fruitwood with inverted bell topped case with brass carrying handle. The glazed side panels with quarter frets to the front door, the moulded base on bracket feet. The glazed back door opening to a rectangular brass backplate engraved with foliate scrolls. The break arch dial with pierced blue steel hands, applied silver chapter ring and spandrels to the corners. Alarm set to centre arbour with calendar aperture below. Signed Thomas- Norris- London to chapter ring. Verge escapement twin barrel and fusee movement, with gut lines and rack striking on bell. Pull repeat mechanism striking on set of six nested bells.
41 cm height, 22 cm width, 15 cm depth

chapter ring re-gilded. Felt and feet replaced. working, however not recently serviced or timed. Scratches /wear to case overall.
