AN INDIAN OCTAGONAL BIDRI TRAY AND THREE OTHERS
MUGHAL OR DECCAN SULTANATE, 17TH/18TH CENTURY

The octagonal tray decorated all over in silver inlay with trapezoidal reserves featuring formalised flower sprigs, within chevron and scrolling flower borders. Together with three other small round also decorated with silver inlay of flower, foliage and geomtric patters.

The octagonal tray with some small losses to the silver inlay, some small dents and losses to the edge, oxidisation of the silver, showing evidence of an attempt at cleaning the silver to one part. The three round trays with small losses to the inlay, small areas of lifting of the inlay, the smallest with multiple areas of damage around the rim.
