A JAPANESE INLAID CIRCULAR BRONZE TRAY
MEIJI PERIOD

The centre bronze round panel decorated with a goose flying by twisting uri (squash) vine, maidenflower and jasmine, worked in chiselled high relief of silver, gilt and bronze, with details carved in kebori (plain line engraving) surrounded by a simulated rattan border, finely woven in gozame-ami (mat pattern weaving).
3.5cm high, 27.5cm diameter.
