20TH CENTURY

The Bai baby carrier of complex and heavy construction, with appliqué and embroidery sections, including a panel with appliqué "cash" design, the embroidery depicting peonies and other flowers, butterflies and mice, with embroidered sequin detailing. The nine other pieces being Yi minority group cross-stitch embroidered geometric apron panels and part aprons.
