SPRING AND AUTUMN PERIOD THROUGH TO SUI DYNASTY
Comprising a jar with two registers of decoration to the shoulder and body including incised and stamped patterns, with two lug handles, and a small jug with stamped decoration around the body, both Spring and Autumn period, a handled footed cup from the Han Dynasty, and a glazed inkstone with six feet dating to the Sui or early Tang Dynasty.
VIEW IN MELBOURNE
The larger jar 11.5cm high, 20cm diameter. The jug 7.5cm high, 12cm wide. The Han cup 6cm high, 12cm wide. The inkstone 4.7cm high, 16cm diameter.
Estimate $1,000 - $1,500
The larger jar with some chipping to the mouth rim. The jug with two hairline cracks to the mouth rim, evidence of restoration or marriage to the handle, and restoration to the base. The cup with multiple chips to the rim and a chip to the handle. The inkstone with a repaired hairline crack to the body emanating from the rim, glaze degradation and partial losses throughout, and a chip to the bottom of one of the feet.
