AN INSCRIBED CHINESE 'DREAMSTONE' TABLE SCREEN
LATE 19TH/EARLY 20TH CENTURY

The tablescreen in two sections, the top section with an inscribed circular dreamstone (marble) panel with a fourteen character inscription and seal, set in a carved reticulated hardwood mount, sitting on a carved hardwood stand.

One small natural fissure to the top of the dreamstone plaque. An area of cracking to the carved hardwood apron. Some evidence of cleaning and repolishing. Some very small areas of cracking to the wood in various places. Otherwise no further visible faults or damage.
