The pair of figures elaborately decorated with raised polychrome lacquer.
VIEW IN MELBOURNE
The larger, 49cm high

The smaller figure of the lady with a few small areas of loss to the lacquer decoration, including to her raised sleeve, and some of the cloth folds to her garment around the centre. Restoration to either side of the collar around her neck. General wear to the lacquer finish throughout, at the high points. The larger man with a small loss to the lacquer at the rear of his robe. Areas of restoration to the lacquer at the right thumb tip, right sleeve above the hand, and to the right side of his head-dress. The figure missing two objects from either side of the head-dress. Otherwise no further visible faults or damage.
