A NEPALESE NEWARI BUDDHIST PALM LEAF BOOK
16TH CENTURY

The stack of palm leaf pages secured with two cords through the leaves and wooden covers. The inside of both wooden covers are painted, one with Buddhas and multi-armed deities, the other with a Buddha and wrathful deities, the pages lengthily inscribed with Newari script.
