A CHINESE JIAN HARE'S FUR TEABOWL
SOUTHERN SONG DYNASTY

The conical form teabowl covered with a dark lustrous iron-brown glaze, marked with russet streaks showing a partial hare's fur effect, pooling unevenly to the exterior. The exposed body with a rich purplish-brown tone.

5cm high, 11.5cm diameter.

The bowl is broken and professionally restored to one section. One part of the mouthrim has a glaze imperfection from the firing.
