A CHINESE CARVED HARDWOOD CENTRE TABLE
LATE 19TH CENTURY

The scallopped circular top inset with a red and cream striated marble panel, the hardwood surround carved with different flowers, the apron with openwork carving of the squirrel and grape pattern, raised up on a pedestal with openwork carving of a writhing dragon, on three lion and claw feet.
83cm high, 62cm diameter

Sold for $3,000

Some very minor chips and cracks to some of the wood carving, almost negligible. Some rubbing to the high points of the patina from normal wear. No further visible faults or damage.
