Comprising a large wooden South Indian mask of a wrathful deity face, a relief carved wooden panel depicting a wrathful deity (probably Nepalese), and an Indian carving of a standing female figure with hands clasped at the waist.
THE VIRTUE COLLECTION
The large mask 43cm high, 40cm wide. The panel 40cm high, 30cm wide. The figure 38.5cm high.
Estimate $400 - $600
Large losses and cracks and repairs to the large face mask, including losses to the polychrome decoration - significant wear. Minor chips and losses to the small figure, especially to the base, including old nail holes, old wear and ageing, and losses to one ear and the nose. The panel has a loss at one corner at the top, losses and small chips to the base, and old cracks.
