Keith Alexander first visited the Namib in the early 1980's which provided him with the new impetus and direction he needed and was the catalyst for his resulting obsession with one of the most desolate places on earth. Namibia is harsh, stark and daunting yet possesses a quiet grandeur. Keith's skillful play of light and shadow, of height and distance, renders the magnificence of the Namib scene on canvas where the camera perhaps cannot.
