Work in very good condition with some areas to take note of. No holes, tears or punctures to canvas. Work is housed in original frame with fragments of old labels attached verso. Under UV light, it can reported that work contains no repaired holes or tears that cannot be seen by the naked eye. Mid right hand side shows evidence of paint repair (surface only), along with paint fill in's in the mid right hand side (subjects face) and the lower left area (subjects left arm) where cracking has been previously. A previous possible paint loss or blemish (a patch approx. 3cm in diameter) has also been attended to. No flaking or further cracking to the painting is evident, paint is completely stable and has been sealed with a heavy varnish. Work is considered to be in very good condition given its age.
