Lot 166

The painting displays surface dirt, fly spots, and light blooming likely due to previous storage conditions and age. There are hairline cracks throughout, although these are mostly stable.
There are very minor, pin-sized, losses around the edges.
The painting has been looked at under UV light. There are minor areas of infill throughout, and signs of previous repair. The lace and trimming on the cloth, the face on the right hand side, and the area above the candle all flouresce and indicate previous repair.
There are several chips to the frame.
