Private collection, Sydney

After seeing an exhibit of coloured linocuts by the Austrian artist Norbertine Bresslern-Roth, Lill was inspired to create her own. Her prints, however, were created from scenes of modern life - jazz bands, sports events, the London underground, and men at work.
She studied under Claude Flight at the Grosvenor School who made a significant impact upon her work, as he did with most of his students.
Lill developed 355 linocuts in her lifetime.
