ALFRED MOGINIE BRYANT (British, 19th Century)
Horse 1888
oil on canvas
signed and dated lower right: A. M. Bryant/88
inscribed on stretcher bar verso: PECHFIELD 1888
46 x 61 cm

Estimate $2,000 - $3,000

Sold for $1,350

In very good condition consistent with age. The work bears very minor losses, mostly only on the far edges (previously covered by a frame). There are 4 pin holes in the far corners also from previous framing. There are minor surface scratch lines visible upon close inspection.
The work has been heavily varnished. When looking under UV light there are no areas that appear to flouresce, although the layers of the varnish become more apparent.
There is an indentation line around the edge of the work from the previous frame.
