Lot 158
Bust of a Lady 1944
bronze
signed and dated verso: A. FLEISCHMANN 1944
62cm (height, including base)
Estimate $2,000 - $3,000
Item in good condition with some areas to note. Base of item contains some natural cracks, consistent with the marbling lines. Base is stable. Work appears to have been previously stored outside, perhaps in a garden. Work bears some small areas of green, showing early signs if corrosion- superficial and does not appear to have weakened the object in any way. Dust and dirt has embedded itself in grooves and crevasses, as with age.
