John Hetherington was a highly respected and published author and art writer. Also the biographer of Melba the opera singer. He was also a famous war correspondent for Australia.
Mollie McGuiness , his wife from W.A. was the very first woman journalist to work on The Age newspaper and was head hunted to come to Melbourne for the position. They were very close friends of the Prime Minister Robert Menzies.
