The work is in good condition. Light splits in the paint, in a few areas where the texture is heavy. Some wear to the edges and corners and light surface dirt.

This painting depicts designs associated with the claypan and rockhole sites of Lampintja near Lake MacDonald. Women camped at this site gathered the mungilypa from the Tecticornia verrucosa shrub, which is then ground into a paste and cooked in the coals.
