A DOCUMENT CABINET ON STAND IN THE MANNER OF GEORGE BULLOCK
Of rare form, the cabinet and stand veneered in the finest Brazilian rosewood over mahogany. Four superbly carved and turned legs support the stand and four matching decorative supports flank the cabinet, all with elaborate stylised lotus and acanthus motifs, the legs terminating in elegant capped gilt brass balls. The two panelled front doors and table apron with pierced and carved brasswork and brass inlay. The doors open to reveal ten sliding folio drawers. The top with a pierced brass gallery, above a finely gadrooned edge.
