The eight day movement with anchor escapement striking brass dial and chapter ring signed 'Morgan Herbert, London'. The case with fine walnut veneers and elaborate marquetry depicting flowers, foliage, birds around a central urn of flowers. The hood with ebonised barley twist supports, caddy top with turned ebonised finials.

Presents beautifully in restored condition. Hood affixed, with hinged, framed glass door. Separation at front right corner. A small number of missing marquetry veneers. Tight crack to lower front panel. Various age-expected veneer repairs and patches.
