In the early 1980's Rosenthal, the famed German porcelain factory, began commissioning leading artists of the day to produce limited edition art pieces.

Tom Wesselmann's impressive creation for Rosenthal is a large relief plaque with one of his signature nudes reduced to a selection of abstract forms.
