Lot 93

The work is in good condition overall. There is very minor foxing evident upon very close inspection - approximately 5 spots in total. There is a minor printing flaw in the far right hand side stripe. A small crease is present in the lower left corner, along with very light handling marks on the top running alond the edge, not significant, however visible when inspecting close-up.
The work is newly framed in a white box frame, the work floating against a white mount. In excellent condition. Total overall framed size is 115.5 x 53 x 4cm.

This work comes from a series of five prints made in 1971 around Riley's major touring exhibition. Each of the five prints was left untitled, but came to be referred to by the different venues of the tour. This print acquired the name Berne. In the studio and in the print catalogue raisonné, this work is referred to as Untitled [Elongated Triangles 4].
