This artwork is in fair condition. Blue pigment spot above the C in Campbells, most likely caused during the printing. White pigment found at the middle right hand edging (approx. 5cm). Handling marks, creasing and discolouration throughout the paper bag itself, integral to medium. Colour of the print itself is in very good condition, no colour loss. Housed in a perspex box, overall wear and scratching to the surface of the perspex - no cracking present. Frame measures: 90 x 84 x 10cm.

The image of a Campbell's soup can has become synonymous with Andy Warhol. In 1966, an exhibition dedicated to Warhol opened at the Institute of Contemporary Art, Boston, and these screen-printed shopping bags were printed exclusively to commemorate the show.
