A PAIR OF LATE 19TH CENTURY SAMSON SHEPARD AND SHEPARDESS BOCAGE FIGURINES
The figures are in Chelsea style and show a Shepard with a dog at his feet and a Shepardess with a sheep. Both standing against a tall green screen with white colour-tipped flowers. Both figures are marked with small gold anchors to the base of the tree which were frequently used by Samson circa 1880.

Overall in good condition. Minor losses to foliage and flowers as expected with age. Discolouration (possible restoration) to hand of female figure. Minor rubbing to gilding. Faux Chelsea 'Gold Anchor' marks to rear base.
