Lot 76

ANTHONY PRYOR (1951-1991)
Marker II 1981-82
Huon pine, stainless steel and granite
220 x 162 x 71cm

Estimate $12,000 - $18,000

Sold for $17,000

A split in the wood is evident in the front, centre panel (lower right hand side). This fault does not continue throughout the width of the panel, nor does it result in a fracture. Sculpture is structurally stable. Minor Areas on the surface of the wood show marks and abrasions- these appear to be around the connective spots where the screws meet the corresponding holes.
This sculpture has been displayed indoors, the work is free from corrosion and signs of moisture.
