Outer case 6.5cm diameter, in good condition with minor wear to gilt at edged and on the plain centre back. Watch, 5cm diameter x 3cm height, in fine order with very minor age-expected wear to gold surfaces. Overall, in very good condition with no visible signs of repair or damage.

Edward Tomlin is recorded working at the Royal Exchange having been admitted to the Clockmakers Company 1766-1798. Examples of his clocks and watches are displayed at the Science Museum, London and the Pieping Museum, China.
