Miles Howard-Wilks works in painting, ceramics, photography, digital art and zines. His work on paper features dynamic and surreal landscapes and seascapes with recurring motifs of iconic animals, landmarks and transport. Recently, he has started bringing some of the complex elements from his paintings into his ceramic practice, which you can see represented in his 2019 auction artwork Not titled (sea creatures on sand). Howard-Wilks has worked at Arts Project since 2000, having presented several solo installation, including a 40-meter vinyl of recent work for the 2019 Melbourne Metro Hoarding Project. He has exhibited in national and international group exhibitions and has work in the National Gallery of Australia, National Gallery of Victoria, Museum of Contemporary Art, and City of Melbourne collection.
