 Chris Mason is an accomplished mid-career artist who works across a range of mediums including painting, drawing, ceramics and sculpture. His practice involves extensive research and a meticulous approach, with a penchant for creating evocative voluptuous female forms and reticulated pythons. Berlian Emas (Gold Diamond in Indonesian) is a quintessential example of one of his highly collectable ceramic sculptures. Mason has worked at Arts Project since 1997 and has presented solo exhibitions at Darren Knight Gallery, Sydney and Arts Project. He has been curated into group exhibitions in Australia and the USA and has work in the National Gallery of Australia, State Library of Victoria and National Gallery of Victoria. His work is held in private collections worldwide.
