Steven Perrette is a mid-career artist whose small and mid-scale works on paper frequently depict the frenetic workings of the western world. Throughout his career, he has maintained a fascination with industrial and vintage ships and sailing boats as well as country roads and highways that he travelled with his father when he was a young child. For this collection we've included Maritime Ship, shown in his 2019 self-titled solo exhibition in Melbourne. Perrette has worked at Arts Project since 2000 and had his first solo exhibition in 2011. He has exhibited in numerous group shows and has work in the National Gallery of Australia, City of Moreland and V-Line collections.
