Wendy Dawson's practice is one of repetition and structure. Her work is produced by applying hundreds of linear marks to paper employing only two or three colours. Through this process, she gradually builds layers, creating an almost knitted quality. Gold and Silver is a stunning example, the imagery reminiscent of streaks of gold though a rock formation. Dawson has worked at Arts Project since 2008. She has been included in numerous group exhibitions including the current touring exhibition FEM-aFINITY, presently in hibernation at Benalla Art Gallery in Victoria.
