Armani Tia is a confident draughtsperson equipped with a natural aptitude for drawing. His varied subject matter pays homage to influential artists and musicians. Recently, his focus is on representing seminal moments in his life, as well as exploring his Samoan cultural roots. His work in the auction, Magiagi, depicts the powerful Siva Tau war dance performed by Samoan sporting teams before each match. Tia has worked at Arts Project since 2013. In 2017 he undertook the Bundoora Nebula Residency at Bundoora Homestead Art Centre. His work has been shown in numerous group exhibitions.
