Miles Howard-Wilks is a multi-disciplinary artist specialising in painting, ceramics, photography, digital art and artist zines. Thematically his practice is distinctly Australian, featuring landscapes and seascapes with recurring motifs of iconic animals, landmarks and transport. Magpie on top of the Bridge exudes all the charm and nostalgic charisma that is instilled in his work, and speaks to a silent, contemplative moment. Howard-Wilks has worked at Arts Project since 2000 and has exhibited widely. He has work museum collections including National Gallery of Australia, National Gallery of Victoria, as well as private collections throughout Australia and the USA.
