Chris Mason explores within his practice a range of mediums including painting, drawing, ceramics and soft sculpture. His predilection for creating evocative voluptuous female forms is seen most illustriously in his ceramic sculptures, depicting ladies in various states of contentment. Oh My God Nude Woman as a Sydney Swans Supporter is a delightfully spirited piece, the tiny bird perched on the figure's round belly the veritable piece de resistance. Chris Mason has worked at Arts Project studio since 1997. He has presented solo exhibitions at Darren Knight Gallery, Sydney and Arts Project and been curated into group exhibitions in Australia and the USA. Collections include the National Gallery of Australia, State Library of Victoria and National Gallery of Victoria. His work is held in private collections worldwide.
