The shaped rectangular box inlaid to the lid with a medallion containing an elephant and scrolling flowers, opening to a fitted interior containing two silver topped ink bottles, and nine lidded compartments within a tray that lifts to reveal a storage compartment beneath

minor lifting and splitting to ebony sections. previous split to top repaired with inset pieces. some minor lifting to the ivory inlay, and small repair to one ivory flower. one compartment lid stuck, and crack to base of one glass inkwell, with some minor denting to silver lids. some minor wear and fading to velvet interior.. Lifting and warping to the top panel of the lid at the rear of the lid which has been repaired.
